This booking site is run by XscapeNow Ltd (Telford) and XscapeNow Shrewsbury Ltd (Shrewsbury), part of Out of Bounds Immersive Experiences Ltd, Unit 29, Charles Darwin Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury SY1 1BW.
What we collect and why
- Your booking — name, email, mobile, the games you booked and anything you told us (access needs, occasions). We need these to run your game and to contact you about it. Legal basis: contract.
- Payments — handled by Stripe. We never see your card number; we keep the Stripe reference for refunds.
- Marketing — only if you ticked the box. Unsubscribe from any email or by replying STOP to a text.
- Photos — your end-of-game photo is emailed to the lead booker and, with consent given on the day, may be shared on our socials.
Your player profile and the leaderboards
After a game, your result (did you escape, your time, clues used), your team photo and share card sit on a private profile page we link from your post-game email. Leaderboards on our booking sites, in our venues and in that email show the booker's first name only ("Team Ava"), the time and the date. Don't want to appear? Email us and we'll take the result off the board. Your refer-a-mate code only tells a friend your first name. Birthday on your profile is optional and only ever used for a treat from us.
Who sees it
Our staff (through the staff hub), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), TextMagic (texts), Supabase and Vercel (hosting, EU/UK regions). Nobody else, and we never sell it.
How long
Bookings and payment records: 6 years (tax law). Marketing consent: until you withdraw it. Waitlist entries: 90 days.
Your rights
Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion at info@xscapenow.co.uk. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
